Tuesday thoughts
Hi everyone,
Wow it has been a couple of very busy days here at Good Samaritian Society. When I arrived and got situated in my room I was given a full tour of the building. The tour was conducted bya very warm and passionate, Jacki Schmick the Housing and Marketing Director. She made me feel very welcome and showed me all the Independent Living areas, Assisted Living and Critical Care. I was lucky enough to meet many of the the staff members who were so full of love for what they do. It is obvious the passion they all share for this retirement community and the people who live here.
This building was built in 1972 and has 79 independent living apartments situated on 4 floors. They range from 1 bedroom apartments to suites with 2 bedrooms, living rooms and a den area. Very nice and roomy. The building has a wonderful territorial view. Because the building was built in 1972 there are not any large common areas but what they do have on each floor is a nicely situated living room area. Each of these areas have been decorated by the residents of the floor so they reflect the true feeling of a home environment. They are all special and unique.
I have also noticed that Carol Ann Christnact. the Leisure Services Director must work on full throttle all the time. She has some wonderful activities. Yesterday they had line dancing in the Community Center. (more about the center later) I was also lucky enough to take part in Mind Aerobics. There were about 9 residents taking part along with myself and 2 staff members. Basically this is trivia. Not my best game. Especially when pitted against 9 85-90 year old sharp witted women. I must admit I was impressed. The activities are varied and facilitated by a staff of people who are having as much fun as the people who live here.

There were about 9 residents taking part along with myself and 2 staff members. Basically this is trivia. Not my best game. Especially when pitted against 9 85-90 year old sharp witted women. I must admit I was impressed. The activities are varied and facilitated by a staff of people who are having as much fun as the people who live here.

Wow it has been a couple of very busy days here at Good Samaritian Society. When I arrived and got situated in my room I was given a full tour of the building. There were about 9 residents taking part along with myself and 2 staff members. Basically this is trivia. Not my best game. Especially when pitted against 9 85-90 year old sharp witted women. Wow it has been a couple of very busy days here at Good Samaritian Society. When I arrived and got situated in my room I was given a full tour of the building. Wow it has been a couple of very busy days here at Good Samaritian Society. When I arrived and got situated in my room I was given a full tour of the building. The tour was conducted bya very warm and passionate, Jacki Schmick the Housing and Marketing Director. She made me feel very welcome and showed me all the Independent Living areas, Assisted Living and Critical Care. I was lucky enough to meet many of the the staff members who were so full of love for what they do. It is obvious the passion they all share for this retirement community and the people who live here.
This building was built in 1972 and has 79 independent living apartments situated on 4 floors. They range from 1 bedroom apartments to suites with 2 bedrooms, living rooms and a den area. Very nice and roomy. The building has a wonderful territorial view. Because the building was built in 1972 there are not any large common areas but what they do have on each floor is a nicely situated living room area. Each of these areas have been decorated by the residents of the floor so they reflect the true feeling of a home environment. They are all special and unique.
I have also noticed that Carol Ann Christnact. the Leisure Services Director must work on full throttle all the time. She has some wonderful activities. Yesterday they had line dancing in the Community Center. (more about the center later) I was also lucky enough to take part in Mind Aerobics. There were about 9 residents taking part along with myself and 2 staff members. Basically this is trivia. Not my best game. Especially when pitted against 9 85-90 year old sharp witted women. I must admit I was impressed. The activities are varied and facilitated by a staff of people who are having as much fun as the people who live here.
